Nice touchdown, the perfect touchdown is probably as a result of a well designed "RETARD" call out height from the radar altimeter advising the pilot when to throttle back to idle and initiate the flare. Funny story, when I landed an A330 on my flight sim, my fiance who was watching hoping I would crash it, thought the RETARD call out was something to do with the standard of my flight skills on landing! Doh.

A330 is the most graceful looking aircraft especially when landing.

Every A330 landing I see on this site is smooth, and the plane just seems to "hang" there as it touches down. What is it about the design of the A330 that allows this to happen so consistently?
