LOL!

Who let the hoodlums in? All those sheep have been graffitied icon_razz.gif

Dark, they are numbered for a reason, actually a few.

1> Part of the Flock Number, this is when they are counted and if they are lost for any reason, they can be identified easir.

2> When they are carrying Lambs, the mum and baby are sprayed identically to match them up quicker.

3> One colour for a ewe with 1 lamb, another for one with 2 lambs and so on.

Really cool and i used to love working with these when i was a student long ago, 1999 - 2000 icon_cool.gif

I loved the photos Flying Fox.. the lambs are so cute.but it is a shame they are sometimes never destined to be sheep..i.e. Roast lamb...but i will hold my hands up and admit that i have eaten that and do like it ..
I was bought up near a farm so i was no stranger to all the lambs frisking about in the fields or crying for their mums and i loved watching them and seeing all the newborn lambs..but it is the farmer's livelihood and they need to sell their livestock to earn a living and so they have to look on the new born lambs as money in the bank..very harsh but true.. icon_sad.gif

Yes lol i do admit, after seeing the lambs, me and mum went home and we had roast lamb for dinner icon_eek.gif icon_redface.gif

Yes, many lambs are due only to live till October this year where they will be rounded up, weighed to make sure they have lots of meat on them, then they were taken away in a big truck! On my first year at college me and other students were crying as we knew these sweet animals since spring icon_neutral.gif

But that is our way of life, someone told me that it would be too expensive just to keep lambs without eating them and we would soon be over run in a sea of cotton wool icon_lol.gif
