does anyone have any knowledge about this? on several occasions, i have seen fighter jets fly out of Brunswick Naval Air Station, Maine. i know that they are a P3 and C130 base and on one occasion i was near the Brunswick Naval Air Station and i saw 2 F/A-18 Hornets taking off RWY 1 Right. also, on a seperate occasions, i have seen (i believe) a KC-135 and a C-5 flying right in the vicinity of the base, looking like they were taking off or landing. any knowledge about this would really help. thanks

hey Hawker, small world again; friend of mine from Waterville is in the Navy and works as an airborne controller at KNHZ for the P-3's when they're out over the gulf doing excersizes.. He also just got his PPL this past fall!

Fuel is cheaper at uncle sams airfields. Civilian charge entirely too much.

I live near Brunswick NAS, its pretty quiet. If your in Brunswick, there is a great resturant near Bowdoin called Bombay Mahal!
In fact, as far as aviation in Maine.. its pretty uneventful! Especially Bangor.. you might get a turbo prop every two hours.
