Is it ture that fighter jets with delta wings have faster take off's and landings than other fighter jets?

do delta wing fighter jets have flaps?
do other fighter planes have flaps?

and is it possible to stall ANY delta wing plane?
Raptor
Delta wing aircraft need longer to take off because this kind of wing is designed for supersonic speeds. Look at concorde for example. If I remember correctly it's takeoff speed was around 220 knots (400 kph) - much higher than takeoff speed of classic jetliners.

It's similar with fighters. That's why F-14 spreads wings during takeoff and retracts them when going supersonic.

It's very easy to stall delta wing aircraft because this kind of wing isn't designed for low speed.
Archangel
delta wing aircraft are designed to fly at a higher AOA when going slow as this is really the only way to get enough lift while doing so. also the reason the concorde has a tailwheel, on landing and takeoff the tail got really low.

1. I guess it depends on what delta-winged jet and what other fighter you're talking about. For example: the F-5 and the F-105 are not delta-winged jet fighters, but they have quite different takeoff requirements. If you consider the F-106 (delta-winged), the F-105 has takeoff requirements that are much closer to the F-106 than to the F-5, as does the F-104. It's the mission of the airplane that primarily dictates the shape of the wing and the weight of the aircraft -- and the combination dictates the performance requirements. Anyone have any additonal thoughts?
2. Yes.
3. Yes.
4. Yes.

Not necessarily. The Mirage 2000 has a landing speed of 125 knots. That is in line with other fighter-bombers in the same category. The Rafale has a landing speed of 120 knots, similar to the Hornet.

For airlinepilote
Mirage 2000
Rafale
concorde001
The delta wing has a higher drag behind it causing it to need a higher take off speed.

Like someone once said, "one peek is worth a thousand cross-checks," or was it "one picture is worth a thousand words?" Oh, well, here are pictures of 3 of the most notorious delta-winged machines.

Is the Concord considered a delta wing aircraft or did you leave it out because it has a slight curvature?
F-14 Tomcatter
Yes flyingcanuck. The Concorde does have Delta Shape Wings.
