lol another Northwest incident here in the twin cities, can't wait to board that Mesaba flight to Oklahoma on Saturday.

yeah now t's all over every Twin City news show 8) Hydraulic failure I guess... as far as I can see the wing tore right over the cockpit of the DC-9 and they are saying there were 6 injuries, 1 critical. I wonder if it was the captain of the DC-9 because it looked like he had it the worst.

I don't know, It looks like the wing was too high to even hurt the captain at all! It could have been some ground crew with the ear plugs in and the non-critical injuries were most likely flight attendants or people moving around in the other plane.

Jeez...It's a bad day in MSP. Stay away from those DC-9s. :lol:

Wow, that must be quite a scare, but at least everyone seems to be all right.

By the looks of that picture, that DC-9 looks quite banged up. I wonder if it will be written off. The A319 doesn't look too bad... only repairs to the wing. But that's just my observation from that little picture....
Does anyone know whether they can fix certain parts of the wing or does it have to be replaced entirely?

I knew northwest wanted to start phasing out their DC9s but what the hell.

If my memory serves me right, didn't NWA try to mate a A320 with an 757 a couple of years ago? They're good in the air but their ground ops need some work.
