Air Canada just bought aicraft [from] Boeing...
Indeed, they bought 36 777s and 60 787s...

777-300ER and 777-200LR and 777 cargo are the 777s AC decided to buy.
The first one will be delivered in 2006. Route Vancouver-Tokyo

For the 787s, we will see them in Air Canada colors in 2010...

What do I say? I say bravo. They obviously got a great deal, and had both Boeing and Airbus bidding. ACE has no real use for the A380. Also, the appreciation of the Euro probably made things a bit tougher for Airbus to compete. Boeing does quite a bit of business in Canada, so it's good business all around. 8) Mainly, it's nice to see Air Canada renewing its fleet.

Boeing's website has it too in English.. for those of us who don't understand French.. icon_wink.gif

Just got back from vacation this morning and this was the first I saw of this - Air Canada, COPA, and Ryanair. Maybe I should go on vacation more often

Airbus better get off its butt with the A350 or they're going to lose a big hunk of the market.

i heard some rumor they are going to winglet the 767's...is this true or am i crazy? bduh.gif

oohh.. i'm a saab
Archangel
its true but only if they get enough interest, and obviously it will be an aftermarket mod as i dont see them making anymore 767's. just like winglets on the 757 all airlines wont see the need but indeed continental has already put winglets on at least one plane. with winglets i think the 767 will look much better than the 757 but then again its not about looks.
