and if there is a fighter jet that is stage 2 would the same rules apply?

and are the Su-27 and Su-37 stage 3 or stage 2 jets?
Archangel
Honestly i wouldnt know, as far as the military it doesnt really matter but we do prefer a more quiet plane if possible. Most of the planes that arent cargo planes and such are really loud. The C-5 will soon be updated to have increase realiability and performance and a side-effect is stage 3 qualification. Right now its not. Of course the C-17 is because the engines it uses are the military version of the P&W 2040(used on some 757-200 models). Obviously there isnt a single fighter jet that fits stage 3 and up. Maybe Hawker or Bernoulli know about the civilian side. Sometimes old KC-135's that havent been updated come here and the navy dc-9 comes here. They both sound like f-16's on takeoff.

for the military jets that arent stage 3 are they still alowed to go to airports if they are privatley owned?
Archangel
Good question. I know T-33's aint stage 3 and there are private owners. They have to fly somewhere.
