Although I respect your decision to do so, I believe it was not a very good idea.
With the forum of this Website, the chat room is another fast way of friendly exchange between users from all over this planet, thus fostering cultural exchange between nations.
By closing the chat room, you have taken this global exchange tool away from users.
Please, re-open the chat room.

I have just noticed myself that the chatroom license has run out. I too would like to have it back and just informed our webmaster about the problem.
Unfortunately I too have to admit that I was quite busy lately and didn't visit the chat that much anymore either. I do hope that it will be back online soon as it does improve this forum and as you said brings along global exchange of all our users.

This is correct. The chat licence was not renewed. The main reason being its lack of use. Through our tracking systems we were able to view the total number of visitors and chats. Research found its utilization to be extremely low.

Presently we are researching the possibly of using a open source version to replace the existing software.
