gentelmen...a question about the dc 10 30....assuming standard pressure and standard temp ...at 420000 lbs at 160 to 165 knots at level flight full flaps and 3000 feet above sea level...at level flight if you were to input full left or full right control how long would it take in (in seconds) to be at 30 degrees..???

This isn't something that would be done in a normal operation so there is no technical data to answer your question. And I'm curious. Why would you want to know this?

i do relize this is something thing that would NEVER happen..the reason i need this info is to program a dc10 30 on flight simulator 2004 ..the roll rate is the last thing i need .so with the above information and with a given answer by a dc10 pilot who is the only one who can give the closest most accurate answer i can program a roll rate into my plane..got everything else just need this...thank u for ur intrest..

Tim, a DC10 captain who now sits at the helm of an MD11 with the user name of Ranger just gave you the answer. THERE IS NO TECHNICAL DATA TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.

I suggest that you just take a guess. How about 2.5 seconds? We ARE, after all, talking Flight Simulator 2004.

Not a simmer, personally, but is there anyone still using that?? Apparently so...

Terrific response my friend! It’s nice to see someone standing up for professionalism in aviation – all the way down to the way someone poses a question. A small, but, in my view, a very logical and quite appropriate point!

Hey Mr. A, at least I'm still here doing my darnedest. And thanks for the compliment, but I was just picturing Ranger wincing while reading the response considering the emphasis he places on professionalism and education. Everything in me couldn't resist mouthing off.
