Airbus sent Airbus A380-800, F-WWOW, on a day-long tour of the UK yesterday - it visited Edinburgh, Prestwick, Port Rush Airshow, Belfast City, and Hawarden (Airbus Factory) before finally performing 2 fly-pasts at Birmingham Airport as its last stop before heading to Bristol Filton to stop overnight before the return flight to Toulouse.
I went down to Birmingham to watch the behemoth come in, and must say it was impressive, especially as it is the first A380 to visit BHX ever. Loads of people were there at both ends of the runway, and they all seemed to be impressed too! Seems the A380 made a good impression... I'll be back at BHX on Wednesday 9th September, weather permitting, to capture the arrival and departure of the Emirates A380 that day, which is the first scheduled commercial A380 flight outside of London! I'm sure BHX will be absolutely packed...
Anyway... I have a few photos to share from the BHX flypast;
