Anybody nkow how to get rid of a virus called JS/Exploit, JS/Seeker, or Byte-Verify? Tried turning off system restore and using my Mcafee viruscan but it won't find the files. Tried Stinger, and a sew other DAT's but no luck. Is there anything out there before I'm forced to do a refromat?
I'm running a firewall so I don't know how the SOB got in, in the first place.

Microsoft has a new beta program called Antispyware available for download. Seems to have done the trick. Pretty slick program.

Look for lavasoft se personal adaware. It's worked for me and it's free. Also look for something called spybot search and destroy.

first of all Mcafee is the worst virus program ever. Get norton 2005. Second, get Adaware from lavasoft like Jorge said. And last but not least, norton will delete ALL of the virus' for ya....i had the same virus' and norton took care of em in about 2min. it alerted me and then deleted them! G o o d L u c k

Yeah you really want the Norton anti virus 2005. McAfee it has a lot of problems that need to be sorted out.
