Does anyone know the bypass ratio on the GE-90 115B? I read where first model back in 1995 had a BR of more than 9 to 1- wow !!! talk about efficient !!! That's nearly double the CFM-56.

How about a bit of searching on the internet or in your local library or in magazines or...?

Yes it is 9: 1 so yes, wery efficient. Did you know that a GE 90 - 115B engine at absoloute maximum thrust on a standard pressure day sucks in 2 million cubic feet of air per minute?

Ya! I recently read up on the GE-90 11-B. At full power, one engine can suck more air in 5 minutes than you could breathe in a life time ! or you could empty the air out of Madison Square Garden in 4 seconds ! One of them weighs 18,260 lbs!
