Hey guys... I can't see any video in this place!!!

I click on the video...it starts its sequence "Connecting to media", then my PC freezes for some 5 seconds... and next thing it happens it's that the screen where it should play the video turns green with black grains... The video's audio plays, but no image, though. I'm thinking it has to do something with the codec, but I'd rather listen to anyone's opinion before wasting my time.
