I have had some very interesting and very enjoyable conversations this past week with Piltdownman and Air Rabbit, Trijet and Ranger and Chill Spiller. Not to mention Kilrah who is on most nights, as is Dan and Tim. Time passes most pleasantly in there as I am sure you will find out for yourselves if you pop in.

I am usually on the chat room at nights here in the UK, but as I am going to Australia, I will be on at different times. You just have to keep on popping in I guess and hopefully someone will come into the chat room.

Ok, you are twelve and want to be a pilot. Every one of us who are now pilots understand this dream of your's very much, as we were all once twelve and pretty much felt the same at the time. My best advice to you is to ask lots of questions because at your age, you can only learn. I wish I had a place like this when I was your age with so many questions, so take advantage of this opportunity the best you can.

In the meantime, before you ever click on those buttons that say, "New Topic", or "Add Reply", think carefully about what you want to learn. Believe me, there are quite a few of us who would be more than happy to answer your questions. Other pilots may join in with their own thoughts on the subject, but even that presents an opportunity for you to learn from different perspectives.

I recommend the "ask-a-pilot" forum stickies to get you started. After that, please use the Search function with specific topics before ever posting a question.

Just listen and learn and you'll get there, and well equipped.

As a matter of interest does anyone come into the chat rooms during what is my day in Australia .? I am aware that I am in a different time zone now and the only time I seem to speak to anyone (Kilrah) is during his evening ( my early morning). I used to talk to KIlrah. Ranger, Chilll Spiller. Triijet... Dan and sometimes Becky when I was in Scotland. Am I logging in at the wrong times? Do folk go on here during my night time ? I have logged in at various times and no one appears to be online through my day time.
Any ideas?

Based on what times we used to be in the chat, it'd be your morning time (7am onwards) roughly...

But I rarely go in anymore. I might hop in a bit more now I've got loads of free time.

I had a great wee chat to Ranger and Trijet the other day.. It was in the middle of their nights though, but we all had a good time. A real pleasure guys and nice to keep in touch.

I hardly meet any folks in the chat either any more. From time to time I get to see Kilrah, but thats about it. Guess it's the fact that I myself hardly have any time anymore. It's been a quite busy season and who would have ever thought it - I'm happy if I make it to bed early. Reminds me of desperately needing vacation. Unfortunately sitting in the chat and waiting for someone to come online isn't an option for me any more. Never the less I'd love to join a full and frequented chat room once again.

It is now 21:08 on Thursday night here in the US. No one was in chat when I signed in. I waited a little bit, but I have other things to do so I couldn't wait long. I would love to see a full chat going but I really don't think there is enough to keep it a float. Too bad!

I was on the other day and Ranger and Bern were in and we had a nice blether and yesterday and Chill and Kilrah were in although it was their night and my early morning so they could not stay on that long . Yes..how sad, no more chat room now.. Trouble was that it was no used as much as it should have been. I can say I too was not in there as much either so I share the blame for it closing. I guess we all thought it would be there for all time. Maybe one day??

Look closer, the condor really dwarfs the A380. It's like it saying to the big jumbo: "man you re nothing!"
