I want MSFS But I don't think the game shops around my area sell it...I need to try and have a look....But last time they never had any.

What's the best MSFS in your opinion?

Thanks, plane.gif PlaneAddict2007 plane.gif

If you tell us your specs then we can advise you what the best flight sim to get is.
Also why not get FS on the net?

Thanks.

Yeah, just buy FS online and have it delivered. Ebay should even have quite a few copies.

If your computer is fast, then FSX would be the best FS to get. Otherwise, it would be FS2004 (unless your computer is very old).

Of course, you may not want Microsoft Flight Sim. X plane is also supposed to be very good, with more realistic flight dynamics than MSFS.

I have been very happy with MSFS2004. My computer wasn't really fast enough for X so I fly 2004. The game gives you some great planes to fly like the 737, 747, 777, Bombardier Learjet 45, a variety of Cessna's, Mooney Bravo, Beechcrafts and some vintage planes. 2004 is great because you can find some great downloads like the MD-80 series and Airbuses. I have literally flown 100's of thousands of miles on 2004 and I never tire of what it has to offer. Obviously MS did something right if I've flown that much.

One thing that I was disappointed with for FSX was they took away the 737. You do get a CRJ-700 I believe. (Please anyone correct me if anything is out of order here because I am trying to do this from memory.) In my opinion from experience with both games and partially due to my computer; I would go with FS2004. Yes it is already 3 years old and maybe that is a hinderence for some people, but not for me. I wish you the best of luck in your decision on which game to choose. Hopefully somebody else will add a little bit more about X for me. If you want to know anything else about 2004 just drop me a line and I will be happy to answer your questions. icon_thumright.gif

I bought FSX but decided to stay with FS2004. Not enough really good about FSX to warrant changing.

Get FS2004, if you find your computer can handle it, you can always enhance it more.

Wow, Thanks for the replies everyone :D

You have made me feel very welcome here and have helped me make up my decision! I will go and have a look on other websites to view screens and maybe a trailer of each game before I make my final decision!

Thanks again everyone!

I'm afraid you are wrong. You get the CRJ in addition to the 737-800. You also get a 747-400, but no 777 this time round, and also none of the historic aircraft you got for FS2004. That said, alot of people complain about the default aircraft anyway- and theres a growing number of addons for FSX and most of those for FS2004 will be compatible with FSX anyway (generally aircraft at least).

FS2004 was, and still is, a very good sim. Maybe try downloading the FSX demo if you can http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimul.../downloads.html , but bear in mind that a service pack is now available and that should improve performance a bit. If you find its much more of a slideshow than a moving picture, then you're better off with FS2004, but if your computer can handle it, and you're looking yo buy your own sim, I dont see why you shouldnt go with FSX. Theres nothing wrong with it, apart from the fact that you need a decent machine.

Hope this helps

I stand corrected and thank you for fixing my mistakes. It's been quite a while since I used FSX so I tried my best.

No problem icon_wink.gif they have lost quite a few aircraft in FSX from FS2004, so I can see where you got the idea from. Luckily, theyve replaced some of them with other aircraft, the CRJ and the Trike being examples.
