I am aware this was first posted last September by Becky, but "Flyboys" film is only now being shown in the UK, about seven months after it was shown in the US. It is showing in my local cinema from June 1st. At long last I will be going to see it . .
This is the link to Becky's post about it .

I haven't seen the film yet, yet. Maybe for my birthday, eh? I can 'recommend'...

i saw it. didn't think it was that good. the characters are all stereotypes. the flying isn't all that realistic. you should still see it though, my best friend loved it.

You should see it. I went to the cinema with 4 of my aerospace student buddies and we had a great time. The movie wasn't cinematic gold, but there's a HUGE amount of flying footage (half the movie, probably). It was fun.

I went to watch the film last night. Well there were only eight people in the auditorium, besides my friend and I. I was not sure what the film was about , although I saw the trailer and it whetted my apetite.
Took long enough to get to the UK, but anyway there I was with my popcorn and juice. I do not want to spoil the story incase some of you still want to see the film, so I will not say too much about the story.

I enjoyed all the action, all the dogflights, the heart stopping moment when the machine gun jammed, and a few sad moments too.
I am getting the video when is comes out as I would like to watch it again, and I enjoyed the soundtrack to it as well plane.gif
