Hey guy's....
I no, people that general pc 'experts' Will be able to help me.
As you all no now im having difficulty deciding which computer setup to choose for my flight simulator x, i want a good enough pc to run FSX pretty well, lets just say well enough to fly around big airport's with out worrying about the FPS dropping below 12.....
The main question in the topic is what pc system would you recommend.
But what i dont want is Nvidia 8800gtx's, ATI radeons x2900's. Because i really havent got £1000's of pounds to spend on all that.
But what i am thinking of is Nvidia 7950gtx 512mb card, Intel core 2 duo e6600......
I need your knowledge to give me a pc system not to crap..not to mega...but will behable to run FSX pretty well, with setting to medium-high.Im not asking for a essay on the system but just a system that you no or think will run well.
This is what the spec's im thinking of.
Intel core 2 duo e6600
Nvidia 7950gx 512mb card 2xPCI express
A SLI motherboard, so i can add another card someday.
4gb Memory
300gb hd
19inch widescreen
windows vista hp.
Maybe if you could give me the estimated FPS on your sytem you recommend.
Guys this would be really appriciated if you can help me because i have no idea!
Thank's in advance.......

When I said go ask some experts, I didnt mean here. I'm not saying noone on here is technical minded, but just that this is an aviation forum, full of pilots. Not hardware engineers. You're more likely to find a really good answer on a specialist PC forum.

You're going to SLI? Flight Simulator X takes no use AT ALL of SLI and for the price of two 7950's you may as well buy a single Radeon HD 2900XT.
Also NOTHING needs 4gb of RAM BUT Video editing. Go get 2gb of RAM and get a HD 2900XT. Other than that that computer is great.

And even with that, I'm editing HD video with 2Gb and virtual memory disabled, and 10 programs running in the background.
