Hi there!

Does someone know any JAA-approved flight schools in CAN or US? I'm planning to take advantage of the exchange rates and get PPL and a summer vacation in the same package. Location is pretty irrelevant for me but my lady (aka BOSS) icon_wink.gif wants non-aviation activities as well.

I did a superficial search with google but if you guys had better suggestion, I'd appreciate to read 'em.

How much time do you have? Would you be interested in doing an FAA certification and then go do a JAA conversion for the same price? Which state do you claim citizenship to? If interested, send me a PM,we'll talk.

First of all many thanks for all of you for the kind and informative replies (with notable exception of a boy with Embraer picture). Anglo-American Aviation and the scenery around there sure looks good.

Harmattan, I'll send you a PM tonight. I'm German, I've got absolute zero hours and I haven't even started with theory yet. Sounds like a risk concentration when coupled with my impatient nature but I must add that I've been in engineering side of aerospace business long enough to have some kind of understanding about flying structures.

Best regards

It seems that there's a bug in the forum SW. I'm apparently not allowed to send a PM.

Harmattan, I'm interested in FAA PPL-route as well. It would mean that I'd got the first 5 years current FAA and JAA approved papers, no? Can you send me a pm and let's see if I'm allowed to reply

Best regards
