I wasn't sure where to put this clip of a movie called Flyboys. I figured Military is close enough. This is an intense clip of an air fight that will have you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to see the whole thing!

Looks like a good one! I can't wait either! The producer is actor Tony Bill. He is also featured in the Documentay " One Six Right" about the history of Van Nuys airport. This is also a "must see". iIn my opinion, it is the best aviation documentary out.

I saw the preview, and I think it could go either way. The flight footage looked a little sketchy to me.

Sketchy? Maybe, but it was pretty enthralling to me. I thoroughly enjoyed being on the edge of my seat.

Nice find Becky!

It is Military Aviation, albeit a film, and I have to say it looks superb. Thanks Becky. My type of film ( I can just imagine it on my flight combat sims) so I am going to see it when it is released over here. I had a look in the "coming soon" films, but no sign of it yet.

I saw the movie last week. It isn't bad at all. Good flying scenes (though they are computer generated). Some slow spots in the movie.

As an FYI, two of the actors in the movie are licensed pilots. James Franco has a PPL. David Ellison holds a PPL and flies competition aerobatics. (I think the director, Tony Bill, is also a pilot, but I'm not sure.)

David Ellison also happens to be the son of Larry Ellison, founder/CEO of Oracle. Larry Ellison financed a good part of this movie. Of course, Larry Ellison could finance a mission to Mars if he wanted to.

i was able to watch this movie.. i thought that the film would bore me because of the old planes which was used during the WWI but as the film is rolling.. wahhh very nice Dog Fight against the Germans the "Air Ship Scene" gave me very exciting emotion or should i say a shock coz the attack came in as a kamikaze wherein one of the american pilot committed suicide due to an engine trouble etc.. and will soon crash OVERALL, FILM IS VERY NICE

I keep on looking for it to be shown in my local cinema, but not even a sign of it at all, not even in Glasgow nor Edinburgh. Is it even in the UK yet? icon_question.gif
