Steve Fosset is nearly going around the world with the Globalflyer. If he does that ,maybe we are flying in the future in a big one with 500 pax or more (a cruise flight, such as a cruiseship) .What is your opinion?

Global air travel will most definately happen one day. I heard an excellent quoate regarding the retirement of concorde and that was this 'The human race doesnt take a step backwards for long, we will be back with something bigger and better' I couldnt agree more.

There is no need to make a commercial plane that can travel further then halfway round the world. Once you do that (and they are already pretty close) you can reach any city non-stop. ;)

Yes cleaner indeed, the magic word...
If only we could run aircraft on carrot juice that would be great, hey that would also allow everyone to have those cool, but useless, SUV's and gargantuesque pick-up trucks; they've been quite the rage this last decade.

On a more serious note; farther might not be the solution, but cleaner and more efficient, brrr... just runs chills down my spine just thinking about it.

Im not a person that likes change to much change. I like the aircraft that are around today and have been around for 50 odd years. I get worried when all these ideas and new concepts come into play. I know changes have to be made!

It great that he managed to get round the world but im not to kean on this new idea!
