Due to recent events in which a lot of you know, I came upon an idea. Why not if someone is down just to post it on this thread? The things you guys helped me out with is are so appreciated! This is like one big happy family if you ask me. Yes I'am aware we have not met in person. But we are all very supportive. Doesn't matter the problem big or small, it always helps to let it out.

Good Idea for a topic...

I am really down about my grandmother. She has an advanced strain of temperal lobe dementia. That means that in a year or so, she will not really remember anything. She won't be able to drive, write, do math, or...do anything. She is one of the best people I know, she always watched us when my father was at work during the summer. I am writing her letters, so she can remember who I am, and I really want her to be happy.

Let's hope that someone finds a cure for this horrible disease. crybaby2.gif

I'am sorry to hear about you'r grandmother, grandmothers in my opinion always rock! Whenever you go to their home they always spoil you. And just spend that good quality time with you. I loved those days! Both of my grandmothers are still alive but in Europe, I see them maybe once every two years icon_sad.gif . I really do hope they'll find a cure for such a horrible thing! I wish you the best TWA727!

I'm was at the airport the other day and i was having a coffee with my dad which is located near a terminal gate, well me and my dad where talking about how the sydney airport is a very comfortable place to be, when all i hear is crying.. A large group of people saying god bye to loved ones. I said to my dad that i guess its normal for them to cry while they say good bye, But the crying going on was like very bad every one in the group of at least 50 was crying.I was doing the wrong thing by staring at the large group when i spotted my friend in the group. I walked up to her and said hello and ask her why all her friends and family where crying and she told me that most of the people there are all going to fly to Syria to try and get as close as possible to lebanon to find loved ones. A massive chill went through my body. i couldn't help but feel depressed after the information i was told. I gave her a hug and told her everything was going to be ok. but will it be?

At least you have a grandmother. I lost both my grandparents, both great grandparents. My Grandfather died of internal bleeding, we do not accept blood transfusions, bucuse I believe in resurrection. My grandmother died from Alshiemers Disease, and a Brain Cancer. Some day I hope to see them again. And I lost my other set of grandparents. My Great Grandmom is still alive, and pretty sure doing well. She's 92 or 93. Born in 1912. She lives about forty miles from me in Absecon. Well, let me tell you something, I had the best dang grandparents anyone could hope to have. My Poppop, worked at my uncles autobody, and Grammy was a homemaker, just did things around the house. Sometimes me and my sisters called her Gramcracker. icon_smile.gif I will always have memories, and will see them again in the Paradise Earth it was meant to be.

I know... I agree. Placing you life on a hunch, or knowing you'll save it... haha.

Spirit, I do respect your religion and I don't meant to be disrespectful when I say this;

Doesn't it hurt you to know your grandfather may have be sitting next to you now if it weren't for his/your beliefs? Your parents, Your siblings and Even yourself may be critically affected by this in the future..

This may help you:

I agree. I totally respect your beliefs MD81, dont doubt that, but people donate blood in the first place to save people such as your grandfather.

You believe in resurrection, I believe in medicine. What you do is completely your choice, but I know I only have a very limited time on this earth and I'm gonna try and stay here as long as possible, because I believe that after I die, thats it for me.

Well, the relgion of Jehovah's Witnesses is often called the truth, let me share a scripture with you, in Revelation 21 4, 5 and it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, niether will mourning, nor outcry nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away.5,And the one seated on the Throne said:"Look! I am making all things new." Also, he says:"Write, because these words are faithful and true." That is one of the most conforting scriptures, anyone woulld want to hear, what do you think? icon_smile.gif This explains why we don't accept blood. In the Paradise, everyone will have the perfect body. And no resident will say "I am sick". From a song in the song book, here is a very scary phrase that will happen in Armagedon from the song "Jehovah is our Refuge" Though Thousands, will be falling, Yes right, by your very side. icon_neutral.gif That phrase gives me a chill, becuse it is telling us to Seek first the Kingdom, and Draw close to Jehovah, as the end of this wicked system of things draws near.

Please note: I am explaining about these last days, and I believe there is confusion here about how we don't accept blood transfusions. The dead are just in a deep sleep, and will be woken up in the Paradise Earth. You never want to here the words "Too Late". I am not online preaching.

Ahh... a story made for The Watchtower.

"How I denied my grandmother of life"

Be real. You're in a cult; what do I expect?

Spirit 1st of all I respect you'r religion and you'r choice to practice it. But what if you were in a situation in which you needed just a small blood transfusion to live? Would you take it or would you die? As TWA727 mentioned, you're only around for a very short amount of time on this earth. I respect you'r decision to be a Jehova's witness, but honestly it freaks me out a bit because it does have a "culty" feeling to it. Now don't get me wrong, I'am not bashing or anything like that. But I gotta say I'm with JoeyC on this one.

Anyone wondering why I strongly dislike religion? This is the reason...]

It appears that you're basing life and death on storys that probably have as much truth in them as The Lord Of The Rings.

Read that thingy above. It says no-where in scriptures that you cannot have a blood transfusion.

that's my view as well... if they want to make you believe crap things and get all your money, fine. but when they start shortening life that's unacceptable.

Well folks, you gotta respect other people's religions out there. It is very offensive to mock someone's religion so take it easy. Sure, i don't believe in it but i still respect that.

Chers,
Chris

i understand what you're saying, i didn't mean it in a offensive way. i'm sorry if it was perceived that way, i'm a tolerant guy. it is offensive to me, however, for people to knock on my door every so often and call at home asking me to join their religion, almost on a menacing tone, saying if i dont join ill burn in hell.

i hope you understand what i'm saying.

anyway this is a little off topic but to get back on topic i am feeling a little down because my bunny whom i've had for the past 6 and 3/4 years died less than a month ago.
