Well, I just completed a flight from ZRH to GVA with my Mooney M20. My take-off was a little rough at ZRH, but had no problem. A small crosswind about 5 knots kicked up and I flew towards the left. Then I stabilized my flight and was on course. I asked for weather conditions in GVA and well, heavy storms and gusts up to 24 knots. Ouch! Especially, because I was flying on a general avaition aircraft. On my rapid decent to Geneva, a strong gust threw me off course. I literally turned my yoke to the right the whole way through until I touched ground. Anyways, on approach the conditions went for the worst, a 30 knot crosswind blew from the left and threw me to the very edge of the runway. My position was perfect, but I was still struggling. I pushed my throttle to the max and ruddered to the right to fight the wind. Just when my forward gear touched the ground, the wind blew the plane up. I pushed the yoke forward and then struggled to keep my plane down, my forward gear touched the ground first with a thump, then....my wife called me for dinner!

I'd like to show you pictures, but my daughter deleted it...somehow......uh...weird...

Regards,
Smile

That’s a shame, try next time. You should try continuous screenshots or even pause the game to take a screenshot then minimize it.

Shouldve maybe proceeded with a Go-around icon_wink.gif

Maybe even consider landing at an alternate airport.

Sure sounds like an adventure icon_biggrin.gif

Harr...Well the weather spanned to far. Overcast from Switzerland to the northwest of France. The conditions were all bad. Crosswinds at Zurich -- It got worse.

Squidie...as I said at the bottom, uh...my daughter deleted the pictures somehow. Maybe she restarted the computer.
