no.2....i work on the ramp at LHR term 3 so load all the big aircraft on a daily basis....was looking at my load sheets and had an idea...would anybody be interested in maybe buying authentic load sheets for a small fee...? just to add a bit more realisim...?.....all sheets would be complete with flight no. and stand no.....and even the loose baggage in hold 5.....and would also come with a full explanation of how to translate it.......has this been done before?...if so...how did it do?..its just an idea and remember...you saw it here first...!!!...lol...i hope...lololol
i would send off the sheets in packs of 5 maybe 10 for you to use and could build a data base of all the ppl that would use these on a regular basis and update you each month...

Instrument flying is a unnatural act; probably punishable by God

You may be able to get CD3 from p2p, but of course, this is illegal. FS2004 is a program you must pay for, and by downloading it you are technically stealing, even though you already have the program, so its almost justifiable (but still illegal).

And for the 2nd question, there may be some people interested, and its a nice idea, but personally, I cant see the practical use, because the information would be incorrect for those flight simming, unless they set the flight up specially, so theyd know all the information (which they can print out if they want). However, there may be some people interested, and it may make a nice item for a collector.

So I'm afraid my answer is the same as dolbinau's above. Sorry

EDIT:\Ramp worker sounds fun, well, a good job to start out with at the very least. What are the age requirements and stuff like that and qualifications required for working there, what are the general jobs, whats it like and what are the responsibilities? Would get me near planes and also more dignified than working in macdnalds icon_smile.gif
Just interested. Dont tell me if you dont want to, just interested because it sounds quite good. Thanks icon_smile.gif

thanks for the reply's guys...and for the last awnser.....
i dont know about the states...but at LHR...i applied with a compony called plane handeling....i handle all virgin..gulf air...cathay pacific...and saudi airlins aircraft....all airbuse a340's and 747'400's..(untill the 380 arrives)...my job is the best ive had and take care of one inbound...one out bound and a turn around each day......if i have 4 flights a day then im very busy....
you can apply with airlines who ground handle their own aircraft...so thats an option......just look on the websites or phone direct.....
you need a drivers licence as your driving around airside alot...and need to be alert as the hazzards are all to real....
but my typical day cosists of getting to work...getting my job sheet....driving to the stand......receiving the aircraft........once the plane has stopped i open the aux power flap and insert ground power....engins shut down...brakes applyed i then chock the aircraft........once chocked i then open holds 1-2 and then 3-4 so that the lifters can gain acsess....once opened i can then drive my tug to the lifters and receive my bins...then once full i take them to baggage...job done...!!! on the out bound its the reverse of the inbound...exept when the plane leaves the stand you have to do the wing and pin......that consists of walking on the wing tips of the aircraft untill stopped on the taxiway.......then while engines are fired up...releasing the pushback tug from the aircraft....job done.....turn around is both jobs put togeather...so thers an insight mate...and good luck...keep applying for the job and it will come....thats what i did...lolol......

well, I live in the UK, and if/when I get my drivers license I should be able to commute there. I'll bear that all in mind, and it actually does sound interesting. Did you say you actually shut the engines down, or does the pilot, because then I could even go inside the planes....that would be great!

It's certainly a job I'd consider applying for in the future. It would firstly depend on whether or not I go to university, and then I could do that to get money for pilot training before getting a flying job. But when people ask 'well, if you cant be a pilot, what would you do' I still know I want to work around aircraft, and that sounds ideal as an extra job to add to my list of alternatives. I'd rather work among the planes than just in an airport i.e. checkin staff. Thanks alot icon_smile.gif
