I would like to hear your views on the book, if you've read it and also just anything else regarding this subject.

Personally I find the subject of the "Holy Grail" facinating, but i just don't believe Dan Brown's theories or so called "facts".

Interesting Book but when I'd finished it I couldn't decide whether I'd enjoyed it - it was a plot that twisted and turned but was full of holes yet it drew you in and like the cliche says it was hard to put down. I read it to the end more to see how it ended rather than because it was a good read. I had to admire the research that must have gone into the writing though. I think Dan Brown hit on a winning formulae - combine the traditional murder mystery with today's fascination with conspiracy theories / cover ups and you have an instant hit. I'll go see the film definitely (along with half the world's population I imagine) just to see how they treat the various scenes in the book.

I have just starting reading the book. and so far it is quite intriguing bearing on mind that it is fiction. and there seems to have a been a bit of controversy from certain religious groups . but this just serves to make people want to buy the book even more , out of curiousity( I will admit that is why I bought it too). l will reserve my judgement until i have read it all , however as the film is coming out later on this month and i want to read the book first, and then go and see the film. icon_thumright.gif

It's a very well written book, I loved it.The plot is so intriguing and complex yet alot of it is centred around truth!

That's saying alot for someone who prefers classics! icon_razz.gif icon_wink.gif

I don't think people really understand that it is fiction

I hate history, it never seems to be a clear cut. At school we're studying the Elizabethan Era, and they teach you one set of events and the reasons behind them, then the next day they give you a different historians view and its on a complete tangent. It shucks me off.

I think this book is complete fiction but then who am I to say it is or it isn't, well obviously not complete fiction because the events did happen, aw god i'm going to stop here. eusa_wall.gif

Good read. I read the book when it first came out. It does make you think even if it is a fiction. I will rent the DVD when it comes out. I like stuff that makes you go "hmmmm" eusa_think.gif

I really must read The Da Vinci Code... of course I've heard about it but I want to hear it for myself - it certainly sounds a very interesting book! I hate watching the movie version before reading the book because sometimes the movie leaves bits out. So I need to read it before it gets released on DVD over here!

Dan.
