Interesting to see some interest in Maine!  I'm from Waterville, about an hour south of Bangor, and Hawker is also from the area. Anyways, Bangor is a regional-style airport only, servicing the Northeast and East coast, as already described in this post earlier. Those flights you see online are probaby just tracking over Bangor, as a lot of international flights coming from across the pond fly just about right over Bangor, due to both the great circle route, and the fact that Bangor is the first alternate destination in the US, as it is a nice long runway. FYI, it is also one of the backups for the space shuttle landing!

The World MD-11's that stop in Bangor are military charter troop movements. I know because I usually am on those MD-11's in Bangor :ph34r:
