Well done, I am glad there is interest in the aircraft. It has a lot of potential.

This was a good choice for USAir, seeing as they have the A330, it will be a good companion, I heard somewhere it might be a replacement??? Probably just some press release that was wrong. But a good choice for USAir.

There have been a number of carriers that have placed orders for the aircraft. Qatar ordered up to 60 of the jets at the paris airshow. US Airways will also be the launch customer because of the new special relationship between Airbus and US Airways.

"Special" meaning Airbus lent $250 billion to USAirways to finance the merger. Smells like a "bribe" to me.

I may be putting my neck out here how about some proof?. In my 27 years with the company I can't rememember ever hearing that Boeing did such a thing. It's been against Boeing policy for as long as I can remember. It's not only a bad business practice but it can Pi** off your customers who compete with the recipient of the loan.

Er....bribes typically don't have to be paid back with interest. I don't think it's 250 billion either....Airbus (and even Exxon) does not have 250 billion. It's actually 330 million....kinda like a cashback deal on a home mortgage.....

If I recall correctly, GE capital gave even more money. Can someone refresh me on that?

Thx

Seb.

If you don't think there is no connection between the loan and the A350 order then I have a bridge to sell you. At least Boeing hasn't had to resort to such inducements to sell 787s.

On what basis would you order the 787? Have you ever run an airline? If you have then you obviously have the idea why you'd order it, but if you haven't (which i'm almost 100% sure) on what basis are you saying the 787 will be better? Because its Boeing?

Cheers.

What diffrence does it make if i ran an airline or not dipsh*** im 100% sure you havent ethier.Since you seem to know it all tell my why you would want to order the A350 then...P.S. yes because i turst Boeing not Airbus because atleast Boeing plays at a higher level then Airbus lending them money to buy airplanes. A350 is fresh meat on the market so is the 787. Simply because the 787 came out before the A350 so what does Airbus go doing wasteing a name to try and match the 787 which i dont see happening since Airbus doesnt have close to as many orders as the 787.

I would order the 787 because i stand strong by Boeing.Airbus is faulty Airbus cant build good enough airplanes to admitt that they have problems with them until something happens to their aircraft.Airbus in my eyes is weak and nothing that i would order yeah maybe they sell alot of their aircraft maybe because the French Government is to busy giving them money to do what Boeing does and use their own from profits. is that good enough for you.... if not then you dont deserve to even walk the earth.USAirways737 icon_wink.gif i may seem rude but im not i just dont like people who seem to think they can outtalk me learn some stuff before you come talk to me

Now, now children if you all don't quit sniping at each other I will send you all to your rooms for a time out.

Airbus doesn't build "junk" (I can't believe I'm writing this). I would prefer that USAir bought the 787 but hey, that's life. I guess Boeing didn't want to get into the loan business.

Dude, you don't know the first thing about business management and airliner purchasing.. None of us do with the exception maybe of Fluffdoc because he works with Boeing..

All that you say is just personal preference and worth absolutely nothing.. Not that you shouldn't say whats on your mind, just that you shouldn't go swearing at other people because they express the same kind of opinion as you.
