I am finally posting here after 2 years or so. But I have been here since the infancy of this site.

Here's my question. I was surfing on A.net and saw a pic of 747-8. I did not notice any winglets on there! Did they redesign the wings as well?

Yes, the 747-8 uses raked wingtips like the 777-300ER, 767-400, and (to an extent) the 787. The wing was pretty much redesigned.

Interesting.. looking at the wings of 748 and 787.. I can't find any obvious similarities between the two. Like you said 773ER is perhaps is the closest thing.
