Hi there at long last I have got all the information together. Sorry it took so long but I have had more than my fair share of bad news.. so here goes.
Here at long last is my report. Apologies for the long delay but so much has happened that it has thrown me a bit.
Date 25th December 2010 to the 1st of January 2011.
Flights from Brisbane Airport to Hobart, Tasmania and back.
Plane type. Virgin Blue. Boeing 737-800.
Flight no. DJ704.
Plane reg.VH-BZG.
Not our plane, but very nice...
Our plane..
We had no check in as we pre booked our seats online. So handy!
I got seat number 14E.. which was an aisle seat. so handy as plenty of room.!
Departure Gate No 44 but got changed to 48.
We boarded at 14.05 pm. late due to the fact that they had to change planes.
Our take off was at 14 25pm.
Our Captain was funny as he introduced himself as Santa.
We had no monitors so I felt the journey was a bit tedious although the cabin crew were fantastic as they made us all do exercises and it was fun too. We too had a choccy drink.
Our plane taxiing at Brisbane.. Getting ready for take off.

http://www.youtube.com/my_videos?feature=mhumWe has a great time there and the weather was perfect. The trees and birds, even some buildings were so like the UK. I loved it there I have to be honest and say that.
Anyway all too soon the holiday ended and this was us at the airport preparing to board.

Plane Reg.VH-VOB.
Departure gate 3. Only a very small airport.
We self checked in at Sorell Airport at 1.40 pm a bit early as our flight was not due to depart until 18.30 pm but we had no idea how long it would take us to drive from Launceston to Hobart so better being early than late.
I had seat number 13A. again a window seat.. braw!!.
This time I got the Captain's name Geoffrey Gibbons.
We boarded at 18.05 pm.Take off wasa bit late at 18. 30pm Meant to be 18.10pm..
We now have monitors and I thought. Brill!! But.. then when we had watch the start of some programmes there was a message which said it would cost us $9. 90 to watch them.. Just a bit too dear I thought.. so instead watched our flight path.

The temp at Brisbane was 23deg .. a big change from Tasmania.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oI8E83Gqs9AI hope you enjoyed this report as much as I enjoyed the whole trip. The cabin crew were a total pleasure to fly with as were the flight crew . I would certainly not hesitate to fly with Virgin Blue again I have to say.
