Major Richard Winters passed away recently in Pennsylvania. As someone who was airborne quald, I had an enormous amount of respect for Maj. Winters, and the men he led in battle. Those guys paved the way for the airborne. He is the perfect example of the best this nation has to offer, not only as an officer, but also as a man. Rest in peace Major.
