QUOTE(ChillSpiller @ Jun 27 2010, 08:33 PM) Yeeeeeha! What a game! Thanks for the congratulations Fox and sorry for your team to fly home now! But in the end the better team won Isn't that the highest loss for England against Germany in history? Sorry for the picking, but that game just made me happy. 4:1 (2), wow! I actually expected an even match with an ugly ending. Lots of yellow and red cards and so on. Happily this was not the case. And I really start to like our 24year old keeper Manuel Neuer. He did a really great job today. Also this was the first time that our team played as a team. It took us about an hour for a 10Km drive home due to all the german fans going crazy. Motorcades are everywhere and the usual traffic rules were quashed. The only negative side effect of today is that I just had to drink some beer and I am writing my final exams tomorrow... darn, I somehow need to concentrate on studying now... NOW! Olé, olé, olé, germany for WC Champion, olé! You just forgot to mention the terrible error of the referee who didn't see or didn't want to see a ball in for the Brits who bravely did their job. They are the ones who should be congratulated. That error makes the referee a renegade, and German players I see them now like cheating French, but that's just my opinion. The German goal keeper is nothing but bogus! OK, the Brits are out, now Argentina is going to chop your "squad" like parsley. And then we ll have some Argentinian made guacamole. How 'bout that? ARGENTINA, BOUM BOUM, BOUM BOUM BOUM BOUM, ARGENTINA, BOUM BOUM, BOUM BOUM BOUM BOUM!

Haha, we'll see about that. I'd prefer Wiener Schnitzel made from Argentinian beef. It's sooo delicious! But I do have a strange gut feeling about the upcoming game against Argentina. It sure won't be as "easy" as against England but they have the will to fight and slowly they catch up to their usual skills. It'll be a tough match and hopefully fun to watch. By the way, I did mention the second goal for England on a side note "4:1(2)". The good thing is we don't have to have a bad concience or sorry feeling for the Brits since we would have clearly won anyways. Although this was a clear goal that wasn't given, unlike the Wimbley goal from back in 1966, I do feel that that was the revenge for the loss of the title in that year. Olé, olé, olé, germany for WC Champion, olé!

Hey folks, again I was wondering if anyone here was interested in a sort of sweepstaking from the quarterfinals on? This time you'd have to predict the winner of this years World Championship. Just type in your prediction and I'll sponsor a bag of nuts for the winner. Although I have a strange gut feeling about it I'd bet on Germany - what else could I do? If you think otherwise and feel hungry state your bet in bold letters below. Last possible date would be 02.07.2010 14:00 GMT. And yes, MK747 you may chose Argentina yours, Chill QUOTE(Round of 16) Game 1 - 26.06. - 16:00 - Port Elizabeth Uruguay : Southkorea 2:1 (1:0) Game 2 - 26.06. - 18:30GMT - Rustenburg - USA : Ghana 1:2 n.V. Paul the oracle octopus has spoken : Paul the 'psychic' octopus has predicted Spain will triumph in the World Cup final against the Dutch, a report says. The animal oracle, who has correctly forecast the winner of every match played by Germany has backed the side to win Sunday's much anticipated game in Johannesburg, Sky News reported on Friday. From his home at an aquarium in the German city of Oberhausen, he made his prediction by picking a mussel from a choice of two boxes, each emblazoned with a team's flag. Predicting who will take third place, Paul chose Germany to beat Uruguay. - IOL reporter http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=6&am...78669996265P436Paul the octopus has to run for its live : An octopus in Germany, which has shot to fame by correctly predicting the outcome of the country's World Cup matches, should be set free, an animal rights group has said.
"Paul has forecast that Germany will beat Argentina. In order that Paul too can celebrate, and not just football fans, PETA Germany is now asking for him to be set free," PETA said.
The organisation called for the seawater soccer soothsayer, currently in Sea Life in Oberhausen, western Germany, to be released into a national park in waters off the south of France where fishing is banned.
"Paul is stuck in a small aquarium. We think that Paul would be fine in the sea," marine biologist Tanja Breining, from PETA, said.

I didn't watch Germany vs Argentina, I was a bit sad to hear the outcome, anyway it's just a "game" after all or I though it was, I think it's the blue of their jersey, I also like Uruguay's jersey, I like the blue color. I also really though Ghana had some serious chances, but once again, cheating has been and is the prevailing strategy in this world cup. I've been so naive. It is sad to say that, but it is also true, this thing is just the perfect reflection of the social chaos and injustice that is going on in almost every nation. We really need God's help in these terrible times, now and in the future to come. God help us. This so called world "competition" is just bogus, and who cares who is going to be the next world "sucker" champion.
