Hey folks! Guess what!?!

It's only 16 more days to the opening ceremony of this years Football World Championship to beginn!

The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the 19th FIFA World Cup, the premier international football tournament. It is scheduled to take place between 11 June and 11 July 2010 in South Africa. This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation.
Five new stadiums have been built for the tournament, and five of the existing venues are to be upgraded. Construction costs are expected to be 8.4bn South African Rand.
In addition to the stadiums being built and upgraded, South Africa is also planning to improve its current public transport infrastructure within the various cities, with projects such as the Gautrain and the new Bus Rapid Transit system titled Rea Vaya. I just hope that the south african public actually profitted from these measures and that this WC will boost their economy. The only thing I don't hope is them winning the Cup - that first place is reserved for us germans ! I just hope they'll do it without Ballack as captain. Then again, in the unlikely and unpleasant event of us dropping out, they are the ones I'd vote for number one. Of course this is a statement chosen from pure pleasant reasons.

I feel soo sorry for you Fasty ;)
But for yesterday evening I also feel sorry for us. After a gigantic game against Argentina (4:1) we lost against Spein 1:0 yesterday evening I should have bet with you MK abour that Argetina thing but then again I would have also bet against Spain. They indeed were the better team yesterday though. It felt like our boys were too afraid to play it tight. If we had won it would have been pure luck. Now lets see who takes the cup home... Netherlands or Spain? After seeing yesterdays game I'd say Spain will be the new champion. And we'll hopefully come in third place once again.

Hey no worries mate. Germany actually played supremely well. They had it all tied up in training. While they kept England up the other end of the field - they sent someone to nip down and just pop it in the little goal. Germany were fast and played a tight little game. Well though out. That was forward playing.

After the England departure from the Cup, I ceased to watch it anymore. So, I am sorry to hear Germany got knocked out - they did deserve to win, I thought they would. When does it all end by the way . . .? I hope someone tells me who wins the final.
