There was a rather heated post on the cost of an ILS system. the eventual cost came out to be from about a million dollars and up.

In which case, you can have our local ILS system for 15,000 quid. I`ll go and dig it up and put it all on the back of a lorry but you will have to pay for carriage and shipping. Please advise of delivery as soon as poss, as the neighbors may complain about the Glideslope antenna taking over four gardens.

You will have to supply your own cabling - for it.

Anyone landing at our airport be advised there will be no lights and no ILS - as it`ll all be on the truck.

Anyone experiencing partial lights or ILS please be careful as I will still be down there digging it up - you may see the lights going off one by one.
