Wow, that was fast!
Thanks for bringing back this new "old" category. I sure hope that this will bring back some traffic to our forum. It has been far too quiet lately. Thanks so far and keep up the good work!

Cheers, Chill

Great to see the forum back- its certainly been a few years since I remember the off-topic section being diminished, and indeed the 'anger' it caused when it was announced.

I'm just glad someone has finally realized that killing the offtopic basically killed the site. Place your bets on the likelyhood of revival. If you can't get the word out then its not going to matter, and with Youtube basically making the video's here obsolete it's going to be hard to get attention.

Personally I think the powers that made this choice owe and apology or at least a "well we should have listened to you guys".

Hey, its back! thats all we need!

YouTube may have a lot of the same type of videos, but the community is here, bringing this section back will definately enhance the community and enable us to interact with each other in a more "sociable" environment. Good call, getting rid of it killed the community, not because noone wanted to talk about aviation, but because members couldn't get to know each other.

I can see the need for a chat room for a lack of a better word. As for aviation, which is the main topic of this forum, for which i will admit i'm new. The forum as i see is a place for knowledge sharing and understanding, given the level of knowledge that is bountiful here!

I would hope that a high level of understanding would follow in the chat room for those who wish to debate or discuss the posted topic. To that end come to a common ground of understanding.

Regards
Airdave
