I have never recorded a takeoff and landing before and want to do so when I fly into Denver this March. Is it okay to use a digital camera to shoot video? Should the video come out okay?

Also, it seems that flight attendants get annoyed when someone is filming. What is the deal? Should I hide my camera when an FA is around. I would want to film some of the taxi but don't want to get yelled at for shooting video.

It's probably because they say any electronics on during takeoff and landing mess with the stuff in the cockpit. Is that even true?
