G'day Iberworld-pilot,

Pan=Pan-Pan is used when you have a serious but non life threatening situation, such as a injury or illness

Mayday-Mayday-Mayday is used when you are in grave danger(like ya gonna die).Or continued viability of the aircraft.

Hope my little input helps...... icon_thumright.gif

Kilrah beat me to it.

Basically, MAYDAY is for an emergency and PAN PAN is for an urgency. Thats the definition I've seen. Anyway, follow Kilrah's link. icon_smile.gif
