Just keep the climb at 250-300+ knots, keep an eye on the barber pole and you should be ok. But due to ATC, step climbing is more realistic. That's why I love FS. Do what you want, when you want... :D
Just watch out for coffin corner (the altitude where low and high stall speeds meet)! There's a little more to it than that, but those are the basics. Coffin corner will generally be different for each flight and each aircraft.
