You bet, but we're close, though.

Bigger airplanes have procedures that are required to be comitted to memory. Some are very simple.

Loss of pressurization...................
Oxygen masks on

Others are longer.

Loss of a second engine..........
Throttle to MCT
Landing gear up
Airspeed- Driftdown or min. flap maneuvering speed + 30K
Flaps up
Slats retract

Proficiency is demonstrated during simulator training events. Or on the line when bad stuff happens.

Memory items are highlighted in some manner in the checklist. It's been years since I've flown a Hawker (and never a 1000) and I don't remember off hand how it's done for them.

But the memory items will be shown in red on some checklists, in brackets in others, encircled by a segmented line in still others.

This is purely based on my experience. Some aircraft may have the memory items highlighted by pretty flowers or something.

The point is that you'll be able to identify them because they'll stand out in some way in the checklist. Also, they will be pointed out to you repeatedly once you begin class.

What? Does the C-150 doesn't have memory items? The PA-28 has like 13 memory items...

Well, there you go! icon_lol.gif
Since both the aircraft we fly are quite alike...I guess they're pretty much the same.
-Engine fire during start
-Re-start
-Power-Off Landing
-Engine Failure in-flight
-Electrical fire (Smoke in Cockpit)
-Engine Fire
-Low Fuel Pressure
-Alternator Failure
-Spin Recovery
-Cockpit door open
-Engine Roughness
-Emergency descent

Does it ring a bell? icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif
