Yes. Some pilots here in the US have had lasers pointed at them from the ground, causing an eye injury in one case. Most commercial lasers are red, but military grade lasers are green.

Well, they caught a man, who BTW had initially blamed his daughter, but eventually confessed that he was the one. At least in New Jersey. Some of the laser incidents were in other parts of the US. Where did he get a green laser? Maybe they're not so hard to get.
