When I was 4 my family took a holiday to the U.K. I wasn't feeling all that well the day of the flight. I just felt really yucky.
My parents thought it was because of the excitement of the trip and flying, (I loved planes back then too). They thought I was just all wound up about it, and thats' what they kept telling me! I felt so sick I didn't even want to go on the damn plane! I just wanted to stay in my bed and sleep. Anyways, they didn't listen. When you're under 4 feet tall, no one takes you seriously.
On the plane, I got the window seat, but I wasn't interested. I felt like I was dieing. This really nice older flight attendant, Cathy, warmed up some ginger ale for me and asked around to see if some other passengers would move to other seats so I could have a lay down. With my airline blankie and pillows I moved to the now empty seats and slept the whole flight away, even through meal service! Cathy had saved me some breakfast though, but I wasn't up to eating.
I moved back to my seat and we landed. Everyone hopped up out of their seats and started to deplane but I felt really really weak. I couldn't even walk. Everyone had their hands full so no one could carry me..and I couldn't move under my own power, so Cathy came to the rescue once again. She said she could carry me to customs or something and then someone could take care of us, (me) from there. Bless her!
Just as she stepped out of the plane and into the jetway... I threw up.

All over her uniform. Down the back, down the front and the sleeve. It was even in her hair. I felt like I was going to die. But she didn't say a thing about it. She just rubbed my back and said,
"awww it's alright." She didn't even put me down or pause. What a trooper. Mother Teresa, eat your heart out.
Looking back on it now, here was this lady who had to be the nicest person ever, who, on top of her own demanding job, took the time to look after me, and wheat happens? She gets barfed on! It's not so much...embarrassing for me..because I was genuinely sick and barfing is what people do when their sick... Every time I think back to that I bow my head in shame because I just feel so bad. 1, because she was so nice and 2, because i know i could never do it. If anyone's sprog ever puked on me I'd strangle it!
