I usually fly 777's or 747's across the pacific. I don't like flying the default 777. The cockpit windows (from the outside) just don't look right to me. I'm usually POSKY all the way. Have been known to fly the ERJ-145 with Bill Grabowski's panel. That guy really took his time making the panel and aircraft. Also I have the PMDG DC-9/MD80 panel also awesome! Best of all all are freeware!

My last... 13 flights (apart from one short VFR flight) have been with iFDG's A319 icon_eek.gif, Lufthansa Real-Ops

I love that aircraft... the way she lets me handle her icon_wink.gif

Unless you build the whole model, thats impossible.

Mainly, I just took the model of the 737, along with the livery. I added my own panels, incorporated engines and set its powers. Took sounds from actual 737-300UAL. So I could say I built at least 50% of it.

I mean build the model itself... not bundle other people's work together.

Boy, if I built up the model myself, I would give myself a pat on the back... icon_biggrin.gif

Surprisingly, it isn't that difficult. All you're doing is changing a cylinder into a fuselage, wings, and every other thing....

It's like play-do plane.gif icon_lol.gif

I love flying the 777s and ofcourse my favorite, 747 (Not the default ones). But I do also fly the fighter jets in Lockon, especially the SU-33 and the F-15.

Why is it that the best build aircraft for FS, it's so not flyable. I'm talking about the Lago MadDog MD-82. The whole thing is just great, but the flight dynamics are the worse ever. Is there a way to work this out other than mess with the flight dynamics section of the.cfg file?

why not replace the aicraft.cfg file in the LAGO MD82 folder with that of a 'good flight dynamics' MD82 or similar. But make sure you copy the first paragraph, which has the texture number, livery name, aircraft manufacturer etc in it.

So: Make a copy of the good flight dynamic aircraft.cfg. (may be from a previous MD80, for example)

Copy the first paragraph of your LAGO aircraft.cfg into the newly copied aircraft.cfg, making sure you delete the first paragraph that was already in there.

Now move the new aircraft.cfg back into your LAGO MD82 folder, replacing the old file, and hey presto, that should work

But back it all up before you delete any files. NOTE: I dont know what this may do to the effects, and viewpoints and things like that, because they are all stored in the aircraft.cfg file (at least in fs2002). So as long as you backup before you replace the original aircraft.cfg, then you can also restore it if you find things are worse.

Now, why dont I apply this technique to the C172 and the B747?

That sounds like logic. I'll try that. Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

Make sure you replace the new lights, contact points, autopilot settings, and engine settings over to the new cfg though.

I started off with the Cessna 172, then moved on to the Cessna 182, then the Beechcraft Baron 58, then the Beechcraft KingAir 350, then the LearJet 45. Now I fly the Fokker 100. I guess I'll go to the Boeing 737-400 next.

So then, that makes it:

Cessna 172

Cessna 182

Beechcraft Baron 58

Beechcraft KingAir 350

Bombardier LearJet 45

Fokker 100

Just filed my first a321 PIREP today, it handled itself better than I thought with that weight. It was the Lufthansa retro A321 icon_cool.gif a sweet livery.
