I just finished transferring all of my videos to the computer and was beginning to convert them for upload. I managed to get one complete, but then STOIK just stopped working. I would double click on the icon like I always do and it would bring up the menu asking if I wanted to buy the pro version or not. I would click on the start freeware button and the window would open for about a millisecond, then minimize itself. When I try to bring it back up, it doesn't work and just sits there. Any ideas or other programs that can just change the bitrate of WMV files (the videos are already in WMV, just at a higher bitrate)? I still have 13 videos I need to convert. I don't get it. It was working one minute, and the next, it wasn't!

Either simply import them in windows movie maker and export using the 768kbps profile, or use windows media encoder and choose the proper settings yourself (use 2-pass encoding in this case, gives better results ;) ).

I would recommend using Windows Media Encoder 9 for the encoding. I've had no problems so far with it and it's free. You can download it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en

Try to right-click when STOIK is minimized (on the taskbar) and select maximize
