Hi guys,

Just saw on the news that the Discovery is going to land in California.
At the normal spot to land, was bad eather and they couldn't keep them in space.
They have still 1 day for food and others.

Yup, just watched the live feed, as a couple of us in the chat did ;)
Discovery SST 114 landed at Edwards Airforce base in CA at 5:11am PDT half an hour before sunrise! Its safe and sound and is already being prepared for the ferry flight back to Cape Canaveral in 6 days.

Congrats to the crew!

I watched the live Nasa feed, which was alot more informative than CNN headline news's "up to the minute live coverage". I live east of LA in Riverside so I didn't get to hear the boom from the deccel, which bummed me out.

I'm contemplating maybe heading up to edwards to try and watch the 747 take off and fly it back east when it leaves. Anyone else in the area? Anyone know the schedule for the ferry to leave? or know where it could be found?

Great landing, well done, NASA! icon_thumright.gif

I was wondering how are they going to get it back to Florida. Do they use this modified 747-200?
