Hi,

Just wanted to share with you all the information is out there on website http://www.econflights.com, that gives away flight operations secrets.

The site is “controlling” 24/7 - 176 countries in terms of legislation, requirements for entering their airspace, telephone, fax and especially the good numbers unlike other publications that you call to home landlines instead of the needed numbers!, conversely, people are still buying that publication, I really did not get it till now!, forms to apply to get the permission required, tips about block permits, and much much more that will give you the chance to relax and do not waste time and money, rather concentrate on important matters that regards your company or learn a lot about the aircraft movement in the air.
The site targets operators, brokers, handlers and even private companies that do not want to waste their time in searching for these type of information, and they give you the chance to know first about any changes with the CAA (Civil Aviation), MOFA (Ministry Of Foreign Affairs), DAO (Defense Attache Office), Embassy and so on which means that they are the only 24/7service providers in the whole wide world.

You can then obtain permissions, know the legislation and eventually have the capability to move any aircraft from point A to B at a price easy to digest, why should you choose somebody to do your job for a lot of money when you can do it yourself? And even open your own company in clearing traffic rights!

As bonus given within the package you’ll find useful info such as:
• Afghan Air Traffic Incident report form
• Aircraft movement instructions
• Airports by ICAO designator letter code
• AMCC Afghanistan ISAF movement request form air
• Application for exemption from special landing requirements (overflight) Into U.S.A
• Aviation abbreviation and acronyms
• Belarus scheduled flights request form
• CFPLS,WX, NTM & ATC filling req. form
• Communications
• Diplomatic clearance application form for State Aircraft overflight / landing in the Republic of
Croatia
• Example of EconFlights Standard Form
• Freedoms of the air
• Frequently asked questions
• Ground handling request form
• Guidelines for applicants for permission to operate International Charter flights into
Australia
• How to Decode METAR, TAF, and pilot reports.
• ICAO Flight Plan
• International dialing codes
• Iran MOFA request form
• Kandahar Mid Air Collision Avoidance (MACA) handbook
• Regulation “Non-Scheduled Air Services Between EU and third countries”
• Request Cover Page
• Standard Procedures
• Turkish overflight and landing Diplomatic Clearance for foreign civil and military aircraft

Just check it out, as nobody has ever given away the secrets behind the flight Operations!

- Mike

Please excuse me, but are we meant to be impressed? Do you have a interest in this organisation? There are no secrets of flight operations, just experience and learning from your mistakes. I'd suggest that there are any number of executive aircraft handling companies who can provide this support as part of their normal handling operation - without the pointless razzamataz of sound and graphics on a fancy website. If you are not associated with this organsation, I think you are too far too easilly impressed. If you are, would you like me to start posting the names of handling the many companies also capable of providing this service?

Its ok, I do see where you are getting and thanks for your kind reply, nonetheless, I wanted to share these info for the companies that are naive enough to choose a broker or handler to clear their flight in terms of traffic rights.

I think we are talking about 2 separate things, I liked the idea of the site that they published all the real facts that happens with the operators and thus, Im not pointing out the flight plan or such, rather, obtaining a permission for the operator.

I worked for 2 big companies and Ive seen what is going on ,and I was happy to see that somebody had the courage to speak out loud about those issues.

Now to get the permission let us say for India, If you will fly within 20 NM distance from the land then no OVF permission will be required yet all the handling agents or brokers will charge you for it and usually it is about 300 or 500 USD per permission for an urgent flight!!!?

A handling agent or broker will charge you for at least 7000 USD for a block permit permission of 3 months to Ovf an African country like Ivory Coast let us say that actually cost a maximum of 10 USD (cost of fax and phone), because they faxed the request, got the permission on the phone as they knew the numbers and they charge the client with a huge amount which I find it not acceptable.

Im sure that not all the handling agents or brokers are doing this, but, this is from my experience and what Ive got from the link I posted, I do not promote nobody rather the truth must be said.

Sadly it is true!, those people from the certain virus companies will never participate in a forum, in each company where I worked my boss will always look at the posts but never answers hmm, I wonder why!!!
Now Im not saying that all the companies are the same, yet, the top companies are doing it, especially at a time that the economical crises has reached also the aviation field, nonetheless, I think that it started within 2007.
I heard many operators filling for bankruptcy such as Sterling Airlines as the management, board of directors, and the shareholder of Sterling Airlines A/S have been fighting a battle to keep the company alive. Sadly, this has not had a positive outcome, and therefore decided to file for bankruptcy. --- http://www.sterling.dk/
Or like Ocean Airlines, they had stopped flying since October 2007, whereas, Ive heard talking about the fact that reportedly Ocean Airlines entered into talks with Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich about a major investment in the ailing cargo operator.

Many operators have engaged themselves in crazy expansions especially when the market has started to show signs of stagnation in 2007, add to this the increase in the cost of fuel plus a heavy decrease in demand = bankruptcy!!!

By my post I tried somehow to write something that would benefit more or less the aviation industry, I do feel that we can change something or do a little about these issues, as in the end the mentality is hard to change same as braking the habits, and it is from the people that do the job that could do a lot to save as many jobs as we can in the aviation industry as Im sure that all of you do not like it, rather love the aviation field right?!!!
