Any MD-11 pilots out there?

Is PROF simply short for Vertical profile, I mean its not a P.R.O.F but more an abbreviation for PROFile?

It's short for profile. Believe it or not, LNAV and VNAV were terms that Boeing owned so they couldn't be used on the MD-11.
