The worlds oldest SAAB 91 Safir, the "91.103/SE-AUR", is flying again! On April 17th 2005 the worlds today oldest SAAB Safir was flying again, after having been static displayed at Landvetter Airport in Sweden for many years. The airplane is painted in it's original colors, and on a windy day, taking off from the Säve airport with pilots Filip Gerhard & Ralph Duell, it flew over the west-coast of Sweden.
The first owner of the "91.103/CE-AUR" was the Swede Uno Ranch. He ordered the plan in 1946 but waited until 1947 for the delivery, because he wanted to install a more powerful engine, a Gipsy Moth, 147 hps.
Today the "91.103/CE-AUR" is owned by "Aeroseum" in Gothenburg, Sweden. On April 17th TeamM filmed these air-to-air shots of the airplane, parallel with Aeroseum's still photographer Daniel Karlsson.

This Lockheed C-130H Hercules blongs to the Swedish Airforce since March 1965, when the Swedish Air Force hired a C-130E for evaluation. It still carried its USAF serial (40546) together with the Swedish roundels. As early as in September the same year, the aircraft was bought and was given the designation TP 84 and the individual SwAF/n 84001. On April 19th this Hercules landed on the airfield of the Lund University School of Aviation in Ljungbyhed, Sweden. The pilot interviewed is talking about their visit to the school, meeting the former Viggen -and Gripen pilots reeducating to the transport division of the Swedish Airforce. He is also talking about the fact that it takes about 10 minutes to do a complete star-up of the airplane.

The airplane in this video clip is a
SK60, the same airplane that the Swedish display group "Team 60" uses.
In this video clip the navigator is explaining, in Swedish, the proceedure for calculating how to locate a target, communicating with the pilot and finally "unloading" their cargo towards the target.
The SK60 is not a modern airplane but can solve certain kinds of missions.

SAAB Safir has, since many years back, been the first educational airplane to many pilots all over the world.
The airplanes in the video clip were filmed over the airfield of Ljungbyhed in Sweden.
The pilot interviewed is talking about "chasing baloons" with the SAAB Safir, a part of the pilot's education. This "baloon chasing" has also been an appreciated part of airshow displays in Sweden.
