Video shows some nice engine throttle fluctuations on approach, then final approach and landing on rwy 22R at DTW, and finally, shutting down the engines at gate A25. The sound of the DC-9 is really unique. I'll miss this old bird when she's gone.

Finally, a nice shot of the wing & engine in cruise at sunset. I LOVE the sound of those JT8D's. Long live the Diesel Nine!!

(N775NC) Second flight of my Northwest DC-9 Mileage run. This video shows approach and landing in MEM, then taxi into the B gates and shutting down the engines. I had never flown the DC-9-50 before, and was nicely surprised by the smoothness of the ride and power behind those JT8D's.
