50 years after first flight, a limited number of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was still in service with the Italian Air Force. To celebrate this jubilee, an F-104 meeting was organised at the Partica di Mare military base near Rome. This was probably the last chance to see such a big F-104 formation in flight. These Starfighters are now withdrawn from service during October 2004.
