KLM Flight 892 CTU - AMS at 11-05-2011. Landed at runway 18C at 18.43 hrs. Quote Captain; I took the take-off at Amsterdam and the landing in Chengdu. The co-pilot had the return flight as Pilot Flying and should have made the landing in Amsterdam. However knowing "Bokito" would try to make a film, he gave me the honour. At first the landing was planned on RW36R , later RW27 and eventually we got a D-ATIS message stating RW18R or 18C. One hour before landing we contacted SPL app and made a deal about the Runway. With a Satcom telephone to Ralph's mobile we were able to direct him to 18C. Landing conditions: 270/14, Cavok, 18°C.
